I Found a Sale on Extra-Wide Backing Fabrics!

Because Gratitude is currently on vacation at the longarm hospital (definitely an unpaid vacation for her), I have been pumping out quilt tops right and left.  There are now 6 quilt tops hanging from her rails awaiting quilting and several more in progress.  Quilt tops need backing, and I love my extra wides so I don't have to piece them, don't you?  Extra wides are usually cheaper than regular yardage, and getting a good buy in a cute print that coordinates well with the quilt top are my goals.  That led me over to ...

Connecting Threads where all backing fabrics are 25% off, which on top of their already low prices is a great buy!  The Connecting Threads backings I have used have always been so soft, something that can't be said of all backing fabrics.

I made that cute graphic up there out of samples of the actual fabrics that Connecting Threads currently stocks.  You'll find a large selection in other colors and prints.

You'll also find that all batting is 30% off, and tools and notions are up to 35% off.  Shop today for the best selection before I buy out all that red check!

Do you purchase 3 yards of the 104” fabric for a backing, or 2 yards, and then load it from selvage to selvage? Does this make sense?
